I registi di Avengers: Infinity War, Joe ed Anthony Russo, hanno rilasciato un aggiornamento sullo status dei Vendicatori 4 attualmente in lavorazione ai Marvel Studios.
Attualmente non si sa molto di Avengers 4, compreso il titolo del film, e molte sono state le teorie ipotizzate dai fan in seguito al cliffhanger di Infinity War. I Russo Brothers hanno quindi offerto un piccolo aggiornamento sullo stato di Avengers 4:
“Abbiamo lavorato per tutta l’estate e siamo entusiasti di avere finalmente questi pezzi mancanti nel film, poi ci aspettiamo di essere in post (produzione) per l’autunno e l’inverno. Speriamo di essere pronti entro marzo. E ‘stato così gratificante che in un film di questa portata e dimensioni e con questa vastità di pubblico, siamo stati in grado di finire con un pugno nello stomaco; eppure il pubblico è rimasto con noi e ne ha trovato valore, ha continuato a tornare.
È una cosa rara da trovare nel cinema commerciale e sappiamo che ha avuto molto a che fare con l’idea che è stata costruita attorno a questi personaggi negli ultimi dieci anni di film Marvel. Il pubblico è così legato a questi personaggi che è disposto a restare con loro anche nei momenti più difficili. È stato un grande piacere per gli storyteller portarli attraverso questi momenti ardui ed avere un’esperienza catartica e persino divertente a volte “.

“We’ve worked on the edit all summer and we’re excited to finally get these missing pieces in the film and then we expect to be in post through the fall and winter. We hope to be done by March. It was so gratifying that in a movie with this scope and scale and that wide of an audience, that we were able to end with a gut punch and yet the audience stayed with us and found value and kept coming back.
It’s a rare thing to find in commercial filmmaking and we know it had a lot to do with the the capital that’s been built up around these characters for the last ten years of Marvel filmmaking. The audience is so invested in these characters that they’re willing to stick with them even through the hard stuff. It has been out great pleasure as storytellers to take them through that hard stuff and have it be a cathartic and even entertaining experience at times.”
