La prima stagione è basata sul romanzo del 1959 L’incubo di Hill House di Shirley Jackson, ed è stata pubblicata a livello internazionale su Netflix il 12 ottobre 2018, mentre la seconda sarà basata sul romanzo del 1898 Il giro di vite di Henry James ed è prevista per il 2020.
