Ricordiamo che il film è stato scritto e diretto da Ryan Johnson e prodotto da Ram Bergman e Kathleen Kennedy.

Nel cast troviamo: Mark Hamill nei panni di Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher sarà Leia Organa, Daisy Ridley è la nuova protagonista Rey, John Boyega interpreterà Finn, Oscar Isaac sarà il pilota della ribellione Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o nei panni di Maz Kanata, Anthony Daniels sarà C3PO e la new entry Laura Dern interpreterà Amilyn Holdo.
Nel Lato Oscuro: Adam Driver ritornerà come Kylo Ren, Gwendoline Christie sarà Capitan Phasma, Andy Serkis interpreterà il Leader Supremo Snoke e Domhnall Gleeson darà volto al Generale Hux. Si aggiungono, al momento senza fazione, Benicio Del Toro nei panni di DJ e Kelly Marie Tran.
